you have to do the viz square mission...after the second room with both parties you exit and go across a bridge...at which time you need to hug the eastern wall (send your heroes on ahead if you want). the bottom part can cleared sort of by taking the left path at the last fight in that mission as well

the part on the bottom is in the explorable area west of tahnaki temple....you need to hug the wall around that collector near the exit to the tunnels.

(part is also part of a cutscene if I remember and you wont need it for 100%)

For part of the section south east of VS local go and watch the opening cut scene for VS foreign quarter. I believe that opens a good chunk.

I don't remember which npc in VS foreign gives the option to replay the scene but there aren't many there so it should not be a problem finding him.

My 100% map:

No idea how the original mapper managed to get the rest, particularly the bit up by Shiro.

EDIT- Ah yeah, rewatching Foreign Quarter cutscene adds a bit.

If you do the Eredon Terrace glitch you've got plenty of play anyways.

Thank for the responses.

Now... Does anyone know wtf this is?

I assume it's part of some cutscene? or an area no longer accessible?

Now, Does anyone know how to get these little areas? I'd tried all the surrounding explorable areas but it doesn't seem to give me these little areas.

They just look like it's a matter of scraping really hard. Remember that there's a fair amount of leeway in each campaign so you don't need to get every little bit out. There are some parts that no one ever seems to be able to uncover. Don't worry about the little bits (particularly those grey squares) until you've gotten the bigger bits.

I didn't get those 2 squares on my LC, But that sliver in the NE corner of Rhea's Crater will clear up with just a bit of scraping.

You didn't mention whether you have done jade quarry or fort aspenwood. If not and if you do not want to get people mad at you for cart-ing in PvP, you can uncover some of both areas by watching the intro cutscenes available in the outposts.

Also, if you have not done the beginner area on shing jea, remember that this weekend is canthan new year when you can get to the tutorial location via the board walk.

....Just in case you still any of that.
